Four More Roster Changes at Memphis

On behalf of their Triple-A Memphis Redbirds, the St. Louis Cardinals signed a minor league free agent, placed one player on the disabled list and activated two others from the DL in a flurry of moves that got the Pacific Coast League club's roster up to full strength.

Outfielder Joe Mather was finally placed on the Memphis Redbirds seven-day disabled list due to his left wrist. The 26-year-old outfielder underwent surgery to remove a cyst from the wrist earlier this month, which could help explain his .129/.194/.200 start this season.
