Cardinals Minor League Notebook: 07/04/14

Happy Fourth! St. Louis' minors won five and lost three on Thursday. Joshua Lopez and Edmundo Sosa led the GCL Cardinals' to their eighth win in their last 10 games while Memphis and the DSL Cardinals both ended losing streaks. Palm Beach and State College continued their winning ways but Springfield, Peoria and Johnson City all fell.

Results from games played Thursday, July 3rd. Memphis 7 at Nashville 5 Memphis (39-46) scored six runs in the first three frames and outlasted Nashville 7-5, ending a seven-game skid and salvaging the last of four at Herschel Greer Stadium.
