Summarizing Cardinals minors catching changes

Six player moves affecting six levels were announced by the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the release of infielder Ty Wigginton and subsequent promotion of catcher Rob Johnson to St. Louis created a series of related catching transactions across the system.

St. Louis: IF Ty Wigginton released
St. Louis: C Rob Johnson promoted from Triple-A Memphis, added to 40-man roster
Memphis: C Audry Perez promoted from Double-A Springfield
Springfield: C Casey Rasmus promoted from A-Advanced Palm Beach
Palm Beach: C Jesus Montero promoted from Class-A Peoria
Peoria: C Jonathan Keener promoted from rookie-level Johnson City
