**40-Man Roster**
Became a Cardinal
Selected in the seventh round (230th overall) of the June, 2005 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $15,000 signing bonus.
2008 Season
A strong season in Memphis, hitting .337 with 16 home runs and 74 RBIs, led to Stavinoha getting callup to St. Louis in September. In 29 games for the Cardinals, he hit just .193. He hit just four singles in 25 at-bats with the Cardinals and doesn't appear ready for the majors. Stavinoha showed up in spring training in the best shape of his career and has decent raw power and could make a decent corner outfielder at some point in the future.
2007 Season
Spent the entire season with the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds, hitting .261 with 13 HRs and 49 RBI in 139 games.
Career Notes
Stavinoha hit .297 with 12 home runs and 73 RBI in 111 games for Double-A Springfield in 2006. Following the season, he hit .218 in 21 Arizona Fall League games for the Peoria Saguaros.
In 2005, Stavinoha began his career at low Class A Quad Cities, hitting .344/.398/.564 with 14 home runs and 53 RBI in 65 games.
He topped all signees from the Cards 2005 draft class in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage and OPS.
