Split playing time between Johnson City (49 games) and Batavia (10 games), hitting a combined .295 (61-for-207) with seven home runs and 35 RBIs. His 20 stolen bases with Johnson City ranked second in the Appalachian League

Career Notes
Alex was promoted to the Batavia Muckdogs to help them in their playoff drive in 2008.

In 2008 he hit .390-12-54 with 31-2B, 63R, .683 SLG% and 9-SB as Sophomore in final collegiate season to lead school to first-ever 40+ win season (41-22).

In 2007 Alex hit .430-16-49 with 22-2B, 69R, .785 SLG% and 13-SB as Freshman and was named All-America and All-Region
