2008 Season
After the draft, Veres spent his professional debut split between the tandem starting rotations
in Johnson City (Appy) and Batavia (NY-P). His overall numbers featured a 3-3 record with a
3.32 ERA, 58 strikeouts and 14 walks over 43.1 innings of work. He went 2-2 with a 2.38 ERA and a
32-7 K/BB ratio over 22.2 innings (8G, 3GS) for Johnson City before finishing the year on the
Muckdogs championship squad by going 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA and a 26-7 K/BB ratio in 20.2 innings
(6G, 3GS).
