2008 Season
Freeman finished the 2008 campaign playing one game for the Palm Beach Cardinals at the conclusion of the Johnson City Cardinals season. At Johnson City, Samuel posted record of 4-1 with a 3.70 ERA and two saves. Freeman led the club in K/9 (12.6) and finished second in WHIP (1.44). In his one start for Palm Beach, he pitched two no-hit innings, while walking one and striking out four Class-A batters.
