Greene is coming off the worse season of his career in which he batted .213 with a .260 onbase percentage, a .339 slugging percentage and 10 homers.

Career Notes
Selected by Chicago Cubs in 14th Round (408th overall) of 2001 amateur entry draft, but did not sign. Selected by San Diego Padres in 1st Round (13th overall) of 2002 amateur entry draft and signed out of Clemson University. Greene has hit .248 (594-for-2,397) with 150 doubles, 14 triples, 84 home runs, 328 RBI and 301 runs scored in 659 games over parts of six Major League seasons with the Padres (2003-08).
