Current Contract
Signed to a minor league contract with an invitation to the Cardinals major league spring training camp.

Became a Cardinal
Signed as a minor league free agent on November 21, 2008. Received an invite to 2008 major league spring training.

2008 Season
Spent the season with the Oakland Athletics organization, playing for their Triple-A Sacramento club. He hit just .175/.238/.378 in 217 at-bats.

Career Notes
Originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals out of high school in 1998, but did not sign. Justin was selected by San Francisco Giants in 13th Round (391st overall) of 2000 amateur entry draft and again by San Francisco in 5th Round (166th overall) of 2001 amateur entry draft, before signing with the Giants.

Knoedler made his MLB debut in October, 2004 and accumulated a total of 18 major league at-bats with the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Giants.
