2008 Season
Phelps got a well deserved call up to St. Louis in September after posting impressive stats and a few awards at Memphis. He hit .265 with just one RBI in 34 at bats for the Cardinals. Prior to his promotion, he hit .291 with 31 home runs and 97 RBIs for Triple-A Memphis.

2007 Season
Split playing time between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees. He had perhaps his best run as a major leaguer in a 58-game stint with Pittsburgh last year. He batted .351 with five homers for the Bucs, driving in 19 runs in just 77 at-bats.
