Selected in the second round (82nd overall) of the June, 2007 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $400,000 signing bonus.

2008 Season
The Cardinals organization minor league 2008 Pitcher of the Year, made three stops in the minor league system in 08, including Palm Beach, Springfield and Memphis, posting a combined 8-6 record with a 2.88 ERA.

According to a report in the Kilgore Texas News Herald, Todd has received an invitation to the Cardinals 2009 major league spring training camp.
