Became a Cardinal
Selected in the 45th round (1,338th overall) of the June, 2007 First-Year Player Draft.

2008 Season
Maj made the final start of the season for the Quad Cities River Bandits, unfortunately suffering the final loss of the season. Prior to his stint with the River Bandits, Maj started the season in the NYPL, where he went 2-2 with one save and a 3.63 ERA and a 37-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 39.2 innings in the tandem starting rotation for the Bativa Muckdogs. His numbers were a lot better as a reliever (4G, 1-0-1, 1.13 ERA, 17K, 0BB, .179 BAA) than as a starter (5GS, 1-2, 5.32 ERA, .309 BAA).

Career Notes
Despite attending a small Division II school, Maj was drafted on the strength of his spectacular numbers during his final collegiate season in 2007. Serving as the closer for the Abilene Christian University, he went 5-3 with 20 saves, a 1.00 ERA and a 72-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
