2008 Season
Lopez proved to be one of the better deals made in 2008, getting playing time at short, second, third and in left and right field in his first season with the Cardinals. He hit .283 with six home runs and 46 RBIs for the Redbirds, posting a line of .283/.343/.387 (BA, AVG, OBP) a significant upgrade for the line posted at Washington, .234/.305/.314. Lopez will likely be rewarded with another contract with the Cardinals in 2009.
