2008 Season
Buckman who suffered from a broken finger and spent time on the DL twice. He began the season playing 74 games for Palm Beach before getting promoted to Springfield, where he closed out the season playing 23 games for the Double-A Cardinals. He hit a combined .275 with six home runs and 42 RBIs.
2007 Season
Buckman enjoyed what could be described as a breakout season, at least offensively in the Midwest League, hitting .341/.384/.590 in 261 at bats with 14 HRs and 52 RBI. He struggled after being promoted to Palm Beach, hitting only .268/.295/.397, with just 5 HRs and 27 RBI in 194 at-bats for the PB Cardinals.
2006 Season
Buckman hit .300/.367/.478 with eight home runs and 34 RBI in 62 games for Rookie-level Johnson City.
Career Notes
Was leading the Midwest League with 14 home runs and a .590 slugging percentage at the time of his promotion to Palm Beach. Appeared in the 2007 Midwest League All-Star game, getting two hits. In 2006 he topped qualifying league first basemen with a .989 fielding percentage and had the most assists.
