Selected in the first round (18th overall) of the June, 2007 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $1,395,000 signing bonus.
2008 Season
Kozma got off to a quick start in 2008 season, being named the Quad Cities Player of the Month, after hitting a team leading .341 in April and scoring a team high 20 runs. By the end of the season, April was a distant memory, with Kozma hitting just .130 (10-for-77) in 24 games for the Palm Beach Cardinals. There isn't anything left to prove at Quad Cities, he played solid defense and hit .284 with five home runs and 40 RBIs in 99 games for the River Bandits.
2007 Season
The Cardinals highest draft pick since 2000, Kozma hit just .233 with two home runs and 11 RBI in his professional debut. He played in 42 games, 30 of them with the Rookie League, Johnson City Cardinals. He'll start the 2008 season with the Quad Cities River Bandits.

Was the Cardinals highest draft choice since 2000 (Shaun Boyd, 13th overrall). Rated the 7th-best prospect in the Cardinals organization by Baseball America. Kozma was an All-American at Owasso High School in Owasso, OK. He
finished senior season with team-bests in batting average (.522), runs (56), RBI (55) and home runs (11). Kozma struck out just five times in 113 at-bats and had 23 walks. He had a three-homer game in the Oklahoma state 6-A playoffs and helped lead Owasso
HS to a state title as his solo HR was the only run in the 1-0 championship win.
