Became a Cardinal
Selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 42nd round (1265th overall) of the 2008 First Year Player Draft. Agreed to contract terms on June 10th, 2008.

2008 Season
Split playing time between Batavia (24 games) and Quad Cities (21 games), hitting a combined .229 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.

Career Notes
Played five seasons at Western Carolina University where he hit .315 with 47 home runs and 205 RBI for his career. His best season coming in 2008, when he set a school record with a .531 on-base percentage, hitting .358 with 16 home runs and 57 RBIs.
