Became a Cardinal
Selected in the 11th round (346th overall) of the June, 2006 First-Year Player Draft.

2008 Season
Spent most of the season at Memphis after making just six starts from Springfield. He posted a Triple-A record of 9-4 with a 4.87 ERA, while making 23 starts. P.J. picked up seven of his nine wins before the All-Star break, giving some cause for concern.

2007 Season
Climbed three levels in his first full professional season and earned the Cardinals and Birdhouse Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award. He topped Cardinals full season minor leaguers with a 2.55 ERA and 147 strikeouts and was tied for second with 12 wins.
