2008 Season
Flying below the radar, Gonzalez posted a 7-0 record with two saves, for the Springfield Cardinals, appearing in 47 games, 57.2 innings, all in relief. Marco started the 2008 campaign, playing 11 games for Palm Beach, posting a 2-1 record with a 1.23 ERA.

2007 Season
Split playing time between Bativa and Quad Cities, posting a combined record of 2-0, with one save, and a 1.44 ERA, in 18 appearances, 25 innings pitched.

2006 Season
Gonzalez appeared in seven games with Rookie-level Johnson City after signing, going 3-0 with a 0.73 ERA, allowing three hits, striking out 14 and walking three in 12.1 innings. He was named the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Week for the period July 17-23. On July 27, he was promoted to short-season Class A State College. With the Spikes, he posted an ERA of 4.63 in 11 games. Combined between the two levels, opponents hit .131 against him in 24 innings.

Career Notes
In 2007 Marco appeared in seven games for the West Oahu CaneFires in the Hawaiian Winter League (0-2, 1 save, 11.17 ERA in 9.2 innings pitched.
