Biography:
Warner was promoted to Springfield skipper on November 20, 2006 after managing the Palm Beach Cardinals for two seasons. He has led his teams to the postseason in each of the last three seasons. In his first season at Springfield in 2007, he guided the club to the Texas League championship series. Palm Beach made back-to-back postseason trips, including a 2005 Florida State League Championship, during his realm.

He is in his seventh season as a coach in the Cardinals farm system with this his fourth campaign as a manager. Overall, he owns a 217-194 (.528) record as a bench boss. In 2004, he served as the hitting coach at Peoria (A) and guided the Midwest League’s top hitting club (.277 team batting average). The previous two years (2002-2003), Warner was a coach at Class-A New Jersey. He made his coaching debut in 2001 at Double-A New Haven.

In 2000, Warner served as the batting practice pitcher for the Major League club. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 17th round in 1991 as a shortstop out of the University of Wyoming and spent nine years playing in the Redbirds farm system. In 1999, he hit .290 with 11 home runs and 33 RBI for Memphis while playing several positions.
