2008 Season
Mikrut started off very strong for the Palm Beach Cardinals, playing in 14 games, posting a record of 1-1 with five saves and an ERA of 0.55, before being promoted to Double-A Springfield. In 44 games for the Double-A club, Mikrut went 4-3 with a 4.25 ERA.
2007 Season
He appeared in 53 games for the Palm Beach Cardinals, posting a record of 4-2 with three saves and an ERA of 2.91. His 53 appearances were 3rd-most in the FSL.
2006 Season
Prior to the season, Mikrut was converted to a pitcher after playing 18 games at third base for Johnson City. He appeared in 50 games for low Class A Quad Cities, posting a 3.45 ERA, allowing 45 hits, striking out 56 and walking 20 in 60 innings. Opponents hit .206 against him. He was named to the Midwest League All-Star game.
Career Notes
Mikrut spent the 2005 season with the Rookie-level Johnson City Cardinals where he appeared in 33 games. He hit .215/.255/.452/ in 93 at bats, primarily at third base and designated hitter. He also pitched three innings over two games. He struck out five while walking none and allowing only one hit.
