Current Contract
Signed a one-year contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on March 4, 2008. Added to the Cardinals 40-Man Roster, November 20, 2007. Contract renewable through 2010.

Became a Cardinal
Selected in the ninth round (270th overall) of the June, 2004 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $60,000 signing bonus.

2008 Season
Parisi made his major league debut this season but after 12 games including two starts, Mike is still looking for his first major league win. Tommy John surgery cut his season short and he’ll likely miss the 2009 season as well. An 8-2 record with a 3.86 ERA for Triple-A Memphis and a trip to the show, will not soon be forgotten by the big right hander.

2007 Season
In 28 starts for Triple-A Memphis last year, Parisi went 8-13 with a 4.91 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He ranked among Pacific Coast league leaders in games started (28-2nd), innings pitched (165.0-4th) and losses (13-3rd) in his first season at Triple-A Memphis. His 111 strikeouts were second on the Memphis club behind Mike Smith (127). He fanned a season-high 12 batters in 7.0 IP on 7/7/07 vs. Albuquerque

Career Notes
In 27 starts for Double-A Springfield in 2006, Parisi went 9-8 with a 4.60 ERA. In 150.2 innings, he allowed 168 hits, walked 63 and struck out 107. Opponents hit .281 against him.

Following the season, Parisi was chosen by the Cardinals to participate in the Arizona Fall League. In nine games for the Peoria Saguaros, he posted a 7.88 ERA, allowing 18 hits, walking seven and striking out 14.

Parisi made seven starts for short-season Class A New Jersey in 2004 before being promoted to low Class A Peoria where he posted a 3.28 ERA in six starts.

In 2005, Parisi began the season with low Class A Quad Cities and went 5-5 with a 4.08 ERA in 14 starts. He allowed 98 hits, striking out 66 and walking 25 in 86 innings. He was promoted to high Class A Palm Beach on June 20, and went 5-6 with a 3.23 ERA in 13 starts, allowing 79 hits, striking out 63 and walking 22 in 78 innings.
