Selected in the first round (18th overall) of the June, 2007 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $1,395,000 signing bonus.

The Cardinals highest draft pick since 2000, Kozma hit just .233 with two home runs and 11 RBI in his professional debut. He played in 42 games, 30 of them with the Rookie League, Johnson City Cardinals. He'll start the 2008 season with the low Class A Quad Cities River Bandits.
