Selected in the sixth round (196th overall) of the June, 2006 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $45,000 signing bonus.
2008 Season
Norrick began the 2008 campaign stuck in extended spring training, because of tendinitis in his left shoulder. He didn't make his first start until the end of June. He appeared in only six games this season, all as a starter, posting a record of 1-3 with a bloated 6.04 ERA. Norrick played in the Arizona Fall League for the Peoria Saguaros at the end of the 2008 regular season.
2007 Season
He led the St. Louis Cardinals organization with two complete games and 165 innings pitched, playing thw the Swing of Quad Cities. He finished the season with a 11-9 record and a 3.59 ERA.
2006 Season
Norrick was promoted to low Class A Quad Cities from short-season Class A State College after just one appearance in which he picked up the win, goin 4 innings, striking out nine and allowing just one run. For Quad Cities he was 2-2 with a 3.72 ERA in 13 games (12 starts), allowing 60 hits, striking out 60 and walking 35 in 65.1 innings.
