2007 Season
Cory legally changed last name from Meacham to Rauschenberger. His 11 wins and 26 games started were 5th-most in the Texas League. He earned the win in Game 2 of the Texas League championship series, the Cards lone win, by tossing 6.2 innings and allowing a run on five hits while walking three and fanning six. After the All-Star break Rauschenberger went 6-4 with a 3.72 ERA.
2006 Season
Rauschenberger began the season with low Class A Quad Cities, going 1-2 with a 6.88 ERA through his first four starts. He was then placed on the disabled list on April 24 with shoulder inflammation. He returned from the disabled list on May 5 and went 7-3 with a 2.40 ERA in his next 13 starts, earning a promotion to high Class-A Palm Beach on July 18. In eight starts for Palm Beach, he went 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA. Overall, between the two levels, Rauschenberger was 13-8 with a 3.25 ERA, allowing 132 hits, striking out 81 and walking 42 in 146.2 innings. Opponents hit .245 against him.
Career Notes:
Rauschenberger was the only member of the Cardinals 2005 draft class to be promoted twice and play at three different levels that season. Beginning with Johnson City, he ended the season with low Class A Quad Cities. Overall, he is 15-12 with a 3.51 ERA in two seasons.
