Went 0-4 with a 7.11 ERA for Pittsburgh's Triple-A affiliate, Omaha. Struggling with his control he was sent down to Double-A, where he appeared in 15 games.

Drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the first round (3rd pick) of the 2001 amateur draft. Brazelton has struggled throughout his career with his control contributing to an 8-25 career record.
