Selected in the 21st round (630th overall) of the June 2004 First-Year Player Draft.
2006 Season:
The closer for high Class A Palm Beach, Sillman appeared in 57 games, going 4-3 with a 1.10 ERA, allowing 34 hits, striking out 86 and walking 20 in 57.1 innings.
Career Notes:
In 2004, Sillman's average of 12.7 strikeouts per nine innings ranked third-best among Cards minor leaguers while pitching for the rookie level Johnson City Cardinals and short-season A New Jersey Cardinals. He spent the 2005 season with the low Class A Quad Cities, serving primarily as the closer. Went 8-2 with 22 saves and a 2.74 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 65.2 innings over fifty-six games. He held opposing batters to a .171 average.
