| Signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Cubs in 2001 ... Selected in 2005 Rule Five Draft by Cardinals and returned to Cubs in March 2006 ... Went 10-5 with 3.21 ERA in 16 starts and 16 relief appearances with Class A Daytona in 2005 ... Made 17 starts at Double-A West Tenn in 2006, going 6-4 with a 2.94 ERA, and 67 strikeouts in 88 2/3 innings ... Promoted to Chicago on July 31 ... Made major league debut on August 3 in 7-3 win over Arizona ... pitched five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) and six hits for first career big league victory ...
