Became a Cardinal:
Signed as a non-drafted free agent on April 15, 2005.

2006 Season:
Alvarado split the 2006 season between the Cardinals' VSL and DSL affiliates. He hit just .116 in 14 DSL games. However, in 28 VSL games, he hit .299.

Career Notes:
Alvarado hit .225 in 54 games for the Cardinals' Dominican Summer League Team in 2005.
