Signed a one-year, $380,000 minor league contract on June 19, 2007.

*If Ohka is not promoted to St. Louis within two weeks he will be allowed to ask for his release. The Blue Jays are responsible for the balance of his $1.5 million contract that he signed in January.

Signed as a previously released free agent on June 19, 2007.

2006 Season:
Ohka was limited to 18 starts for Milwaukee because of right shoulder and hamstring injuries in 2006. He did not pitch from May 2-July 17 because of a right rotator cuff injury, but did not require surgery. He was pulled from a September 15 start at Washington because of a strained hamstring and did not pitch during the final two weeks of the season. Overall, he had a 4.82 ERA in 97 innings.

Career Notes:
The Boston Red Sox purchased Ohka's contract from the from the Yokohama Bay Stars (Japan Central) following the 1998 season. In July, 2001, he was traded along with former Cardinals farmhand Rich Rundles to Montreal for Ugeth Urbina. In 2005, the Nationals traded him to Milwaukee for Junior Spivey, also a former Cardinals farmhand. For his career, Ohka is 50-63 with a 4.14 ERA.
