2006 Season:
Stinnett split the 2006 season between the New York Mets' and New York Yankees' organizations, playing five games with Triple-A Norfolk (Mets), seven games with the Mets and 34 games with the Yankees. With the Yankees, he hit .228.
Career Notes:
An 11th round draft pick of the Cleveland Indians in 1989, Stinnett made his Major League debut with the Mets in 1994. He has played for seven different teams during his Major League career. In addition to the Mets, he has spent time with Milwaukee, Arizona, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Kansas City and the New York Yankees. Stinnett saw his most action playing for Arizona between 1998 and 2000, when he appeared in an average of 85 games each season. The durable catcher hit a career-high 14 homers with a career-high 38 RBIs in '99 while with the Diamondbacks.
He has a career .984 fielding percentage and has caught 112 of 534 (21 percent) attempted base-stealers. He has accumulated a lifetime 4.46 catcher's ERA while hitting at a .237 clip with 64 home runs and 225 RBIs.
