2006 Season:
Meaux was a non-roster invitee to Padres’ Spring Training before splitting the season between Triple-A Portland and Double-A Mobile. He struggled in the Pacific Coast League, going 2-3 with 6.11 ERA in 40 outings (6 starts). He made 8 relief appearances in the Southern League, posting a 0.73 ERA.
Career Notes:
After being selected by the Giants as a 25th round draft pick in 2001, Meaux returned to the San Francisco organization as non-roster invitee in 2007, almost 5 years after being dealt in a July 2002 trade with the Chicago White Sox in exchange for Kenny Lofton. He has logged a 3.49 ERA in 259 minor league games (30 starts), going 25-27 with 39 saves during his 6 professional seasons. Meaux spent part of 2005 season and all of 2006 campaign in the San Diego system.
