2006 Season:
Trent appeared in 50 games for low Class A Quad Cities, posting a 2.61 ERA, allowing 54 hits, striking out 79 and walking 34 in 69 innings. Opponents hit .218 against him.

Career Notes:
Trent began the 2005 season with the short-season Class A New Jersey Cardinals where he went 1-1 with an 0.68 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 13.1 innings over 14 games, all in relief. He was promoted to low Class A Quad Cities on August 5 and went 1-0 with a 4.11 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 15.1 innings over eleven games. Overall, Trent compiled a 2.51 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 21 hits, 15 walks and 22 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. He held opposing batters to a cumulative .214 batting average.
