Nelson hit .253/.343/.360 with seven home runs and 48 RBI in 129 games for low Class A Quad Cities. He stole 27 bases in 40 attempts.
Career Notes:
Nelson hit .258/.336/.363 in 124 at bats in the rookie level Appalachian League in 2004. In 2005, he was assigned to the short-season Class A New Jersey Cardinals out of extended spring training. He hit .283/.346/.369 in 187 at bats while playing shortstop, third and second base.
