| Biography: |
| After four Cy Young awards in five years with the Diamondbacks, the Big Unit was traded to New York, where the bright lights and Johnson's surely style mixed like Bailey's and tequila. The Diamondbacks wanted a marquee name to sport their new jerseys (not to mention a #4 starter) and the Yankees wanted to boost their farm system (the three minor leaguers obtained by the Yanks in the deal, Stephen Jackson, Ross Ohlendorf, and Alex Gonzalez figure to move into the top 30 prospects in the organization, and reliever Luis Vizcaino figures to move into the Yanks bullpen). Everybody wins, assuming Randy is good for 25 starts in 2007. |
