Selected in the second round (74th overall) of the June, 2006 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $480,000 signing bonus.
2006 Season:
Jay hit .342/.416/.462 with three home runs and 45 RBI in 60 games for low Class A Quad Cities. He also stole nine bases in 13 attempts and walked more than he struck out (28/27).
