Became a Cardinal:
Selected in the 23rd round (690th overall) of the June, 2004 First-Year Player Draft.

2006 Season:
Andersen made just four starts for low Class A Quad Cities, going 0-2 with a 7.11 ERA, before being placed on the disabled list on April 25. He underwent Tommy John surgery on May 17 and missed the remainder of the season.

Career Notes:
In 2004, Anderson went 5-1 with a 4.01 ERA in 23 starts for Rookie-level Johnson City. In 60-2/3 innings, he struck out 52 and walked 26. In 2005, he was promoted from extended spring training to low Class A Quad Cities on June 1. In 17 starts for the Swing, he went 5-1 with a 2.96 ERA, striking out 86, walking 37 and allowing 79 hits in 100-1/3 innings.
