Signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract on January 12, 2007.

2007: $800,000
2008: $1,000,000

Became a Cardinal:
Signed as a minor league free agent on November 20, 2003.

2006 Season:
Flores appeared in a career-high 65 games in 2006 and finished second on the club with 20 holds. He was unscored-upon throughout the postseason, allowing no runs in seven appearances (5-2/3 IP) and was credited with the win in the decisive Game Seven of the NLCS versus New York.

Career Notes:
Flores was drafted by the Cardinals in the 21st round in 1996, but elected not to sign. Instead, he was drafted in the ninth round by the Yankees in 1997 and did sign. In October, 2001, the Yankees dealt Flores along with Rosman Garcia as players to be named in exchange for Randy Velarde. The Colorado Rockies picked him up off waivers in July, 2002, after making his Major League debut for the Rangers that season.

In 2005, Flores posted very solid numbers, 3-1, 1 SV 3.46 ERA, in his first full season in the big leagues. When Ray King fell out of favor down the stretch, Flores became the primary lefty out of the bullpen.

In 152 career Major League games, Flores has a 4.82 ERA with 104 strikeouts and 54 walks in 126.1 innings.

MISC:
