Signed as a previously released free agent on August 7, 2005.

2006 Season:
Falkenborg had his contract purchased from Triple-A Memphis on May 2. Optioned back to Memphis on May 20, where he would remain for the rest of the season, he had appeared in five games while with the big club, posting a record of 0-1 and a 2.84 ERA in 6.1 innings pitched. He allowed single runs in two of his outings, striking out five and walking no one. With Memphis, he appeared in 47 games posting an ERA of 4.18. He allowed 51 hits, striking out 53 and walking 15 in 51.2 innings.

Career Notes:
A second round draft pick of the Orioles in 1996, Falkenborg has also spent time in the Mariners, Dodgers, and San Diego systems before joining the Cardinals organization in August 2005. Including his five games with the Cardinals in 2006, Falkenborg has appeared in a total of 23 Major League games, having made it with each organization he has been with. He has posted a 6.23 ERA in 34.2 Major League innings and a 4.29 ERA in 221 minor league games.
