2006 Season:
Pena started 18 games for the Worcester Tornadoes of the Can-Am League. In 111.1 innings, he posted a 3.08 ERA, allowing 99 hits, striking out 75 and walking 29 in 20 total appearances.
Career Notes:
Pena was originally a member of the Pirates organization, having been signed as a non-drafted free-agent outfielder in 1994 at the age of 17. Pena progressed as far as Double-A, making the Bucs’ 40-man roster, before becoming a six-year minor league free agent following the 2001 season. He played independent ball from 2003-2006.
