Selected in the ninth round of the the June, 2001 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $100,000 signing bonus.

2005 Season:
Parrott began to feel pain in his surgically repaired shoulder shortly after he reported to spring training and underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum on July 23. The surgery caused him to miss the entire season.

Career Notes:
Parrott made just seven starts for Triple-A Memphis in 2004 before a right shoulder injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season. He underwent surgery for labrul debribement on July 30. Parrott has a 3.42 ERA in 423-1/3 career minor league innings.
