2005 Season:
Invited to spring training by the Dodgers, Rose began the season with Triple-A Las Vegas before having his contract purchased on May 31. He was sent back down on July 29, but was again recalled when rosters expanded in September. In his second stint in the Major Leagues, he saw action in 15 games, batting .209 with one homer and one RBI. He hit .259 with five home runs and 36 RBI in 69 games for Las Vegas.
Career Notes:
A fifth round draft pick of the Houston Astros in 1995, Rose did not reach the majors until 2004 when he appeared in two games with Oakland. In addition to the A's, Astros and Dodgers, Rose has also spent time in the Arizona, Boston and Kansas City organizations. He was invited to spring training with Tampa Bay in 2006, but began the season with Triple-A Durham before being released in May. He is a career .263 hitter with 58 home runs in 11 minor league seasons.
