In 2005...Negron batted .258 with 12 home runs for Triple-A Syracuse. He struck out 100 times in 124 games and drew just 32 walks. The former first-round pick stole 23 bases but was also caught 12 times.

Miguel Angel Luna Negron... Was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in first round (18th overall) of the 2000 June draft... Signed his first professional contract on June 12, 2000... Attended Manuela Toro High School in Puerto Rico.
