Selected in the 34th round of the June, 2005 First-Year Player Draft.

2005 Season:
Sadlowski was assigned to the rookie level Johnson City Cardinals where he went 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in seven and two-thirds innings over three games. He was promoted to the short-season A New Jersey Cardinals on July 1st where he went 0-4 with a 7.91 ERA and 1.97 WHIP in thirty-three innings over eleven games, six of which were starts. Sadlowski had a cumulative 6.86 ERA and 1.77 WHIP with fifty-eight hits and fourteen walks in forty and two-thirds innings while striking out thirty-one.
