Selected in the 20th round of the June, 2003 First-Year Player Draft.

Pals spent the entire season with Double-A Springfield, going 7-11 with a 3.83 ERA in 27 starts, allowing 162 hits, striking out 102 and walking 41 in 159-2/3 innings.

Career Notes:
Pals is 21-21 with a 3.46 ERA and 218 strikeouts in 359-1/3 career minor league innings.
