Became a Cardinal:
Selected in the 35th round of the June 2005 First-Year Player Draft.

2005 Season:
Meacham began the season with the rookie level Johnson City Cardinals. On June 26, he was promoted to the short-season A New Jersey Cardinals after only two game appearances and two innings pitched. Meacham was promoted again on July 21, to the full-season class A Swing of the Quad Cities. Overall, he compiled a 2-4 record with a 4.46 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in forty and one-third innings over thirty-one game appearances. All of his appearances were as a reliever. Meacham struck out thirty-two and walked twenty-two while allowing thirty-four hits. He is the only member of the St. Louis 2005 draft class to receive two promotions and play at three different levels.
