2005 Season:
In 43 apperances, eight of which were starts, Batista went 4-2 with a 3.29 ERA, striking out 36 and walking 31 while allowing 96 hits.

Career Notes:
In 203 career minor league appearances, including one season in the Dominican Summer League, Batista has a 3.78 ERA. He has been used primarily in the bullpen since 2001.
