2005 Season:
Webb had his contract purchased from Triple-A Durham by the Devil Rays on April 20 by the Devil Rays, and on that same day, started against the Texas Rangers. He picked up the loss, allowing eight runs on six hits in only four innings. He was then outrighted off the 40-man roster on May 5 without appearing in another game. He was 10-6 with a 4.85 ERA 163-1/3 innings for Triple-A Durham.
Career Notes:
Webb was originally selected in the 19th round in the 1999 draft by the Chicago Cubs. He moved to the Tampa Bay system in 2004 and while pitching primarily in Triple-A, Webb also logged 13 unimpressive (10.80 ERA) major-league innings across the last two seasons for the Rays. Over his minor league career, Webb has posted a 35-33, 3.96 mark.
