2005 Season:
Voyles signed with the New York Yankees as a free agent in November, 2004. Though the Yanks were thin in starting pitching throughout 2005, Voyles spent the entire season in Columbus (Triple-A), where he registered a 6-5 record with a 4.95 ERA.
Career Notes:
A 45th round draft pick of the Atlanta Braves in 1998, Voyles was sent to the Kansas City Royals along with Alejandro Machado for Rey Sanchez in July of 2001. He appeared in 40 games out of the bullpen for the Royals during the 2001-2003 seasons and became a starter in Triple-A in 2004. He has a career minor league ERA of 3.06 in 409-1/3 innings.
