2005 Season:
Riedling began the season on the disabled list for the Florida Marlins because of right shoulder tendinitis, but was activated on April 15. He was sent down to Triple-A Albuquerque on June 30, and would not return until August 27. He posted a 7.61 ERA in 29 relief appearances for Florida and an ERA of 3.00 in 14 appearances out of the Albuquerque bullpen.
Career Notes:
A 22nd round pick of the Cincinnati Reds in 1994, Riedling broke into the majors with the Reds in 2000. He left via free agency after the 2004 season and signed a one-year deal with the Florida Marlins. In 229 career major league appearances, Riedling has a 4.41 ERA in 302 innings.
