2005 Season:
After being signed to a minor league contract by the Red Sox, Berg spent the entire season playing for Triple-A Pawtucket. He hit .306/.393/.398 with three home runs and 60 RBI in 112 games.
Career Notes:
A 38th round draft pick of the Florida Marlins in 1993, Berg made his major league debut in 1998 and spent most of the next three seasons on the big league club, including 1999 when he hit .286 in 109 games for the Marlins. He signed with Toronto prior to the 2002 season and hit .270 in 109 games for the Blue Jays that season. He was with Toronto through the 2004 season and signed with the Red Sox organization prior to the 2005 season. In 582 major league games, Berg has hit .269/.328/.372 with 21 home runs and 163 RBI.
